Jacqueline Charlene Amonett (Swatts) was born on May 22, 1943 in Indianapolis to Charles G & Ruth E Swatts. She passed from this life on September 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Jacqueline was raised in the Old Southside neighborhood and graduated from Manual High School. She married Robert Eugene Amonett on August 26, 1962 and they recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Together they brought three children into the world, Randy, Kimberly & Christopher. Jackie was primarily a homemaker but worked outside of the home for Cra-Wal Container once her children were older. She had a playful, mischievous sense of humor and we will miss her laughter! She loved to read, sew, play bingo and would watch about any sporting event on TV including golf, football, auto racing, and women's basketball. She really enjoyed the variety of sports coverage during Olympic years. By far she cheered the loudest for the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Fever! Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Robert, her children Kim Berghoff (Jeff) & Chris Amonett (Samantha) along with her grandchildren, Grant Berghoff, Macy Berghoff & Hannah Amonett. In addition she is survived by her siblings Myrna Wehmhoefer, Clair (Anne) Swatts, Gwen Drabik, Kathleen Roembke & Eileen Cuny. She is also survived by in-laws Maurice Amonett, Frances Amonett and Brenda Amonette as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, father and mother in- law, Robert Andrew & Lillie Amonett, brothers in-law, Harold Amonett, Ted Amonette, Al Wehmhoefer, & Gerald Roembke and her first born son, Randy. While we are heartbroken at the loss of a wonderful wife & mother we take comfort in knowing that she is reunited in eternity with her beloved son, Randy and her family members that have gone before her.
