Jacqueline "Jeanne" Evans, 97, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jeanne was born on October 31, 1927, beloved daughter to Fred and Wilhelmina (Pitz) Hollands. She was a graduate of Franklin High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She married Bob Evans on October 1, 1949. He died March 16, 1992.

She worked for the Cedar Rapids Community School District from September 1965 to June 1977. She started out in the business office at the Educational Services Center and then transferred to Kennedy High School in 1967.

She loved dancing and going to different ballrooms and polka festivals. She attended the First Church of Christ Scientist.

Jeanne is survived by her grandson, Christopher Evans of Miami, Florida; her daughter-in-law Vicky Evans. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Evans; her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Gail Cooper-Evans; and her son Randy Evans.

In lieu of flower memorials may be made in Jeanne's Memory to your favorite charity.
