Jacqueline Jackie Roberts, 67 of Smilax, KY was born February 23, 1957 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Caleb and Lizzie Smith Morgan. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and was a devoted member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at Yeaddiss, Kentucky. She was united in marriage to Elmer Roberts on June 29, 1973 in Leslie County.
In addition to being a devout Christian, Jackie had an extensive career in different fields. She worked for the Leslie County Board of Education as a school bus driver, and lastly worked with the Leslie County Fiscal Court with the senior citizens program.
She was a successful merchant, she and her husband, Elmer owned and operated "This & That" Flea Market for many years. Through this venture, they met many new faces, and made life-long friends.
Outside of her enjoyment of working and conducting the day to day operations of the flea market, she found joy in attending church and going fishing. Above all, she treasured spending quality time with her family.
Jackie departed this life to make Heaven her home on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Ray Morgan, and Elvis Morgan, as well as one sister Mavie Bowling.
Jackie leaves behind her loving & devoted husband Elmer Roberts of Smilax, KY, one son Jamie Roberts & wife, Regina of Smilax, KY, and Seldon Davidson & wife, Christine whom she loved as her own. Six brothers Earn Morgan of Dayton, OH, Farmer Hoskins & Judy of London, KY, Winfred Morgan of Stinnett, KY, Donnie Morgan of Stinnett, KY, Steven Morgan of Stinnett, KY, and Joey Morgan & wife, Michelle of Mozelle, KY. Three sisters, Fern Brock of Bledsoe, KY, Wilma Cantrell of Flint, MI, and Eva Jean Stephens of Stinnett, KY. One cherished grandson she loved beyond measure, Noah Roberts of Smilax, KY. She is also survived by her special dog Millie and a host of other relatives & friends.
The funeral services for Jacqueline Jackie Roberts will be held at 1pm Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with her son, Jamie Roberts and Donald Kilburn officiating. Reading of the obituary will be by Rick Baker.
Interment will follow the services at the Roberts Cemetery at Smilax, KY with Jamie Roberts, Noah Roberts, Winfred Morgan, Donnie Morgan, Neil Adams, Danny Roberts, Seldon Davidson, John Morton, and Kenneth Fugate serving as pallbearers.
Friends and family may gather for visitation from 6pm until 9pm Tuesday evening at the chapel
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home
