I was so angry when my Uncle Jalen died. I didn´t get to say goodbye, and I let my life fall apart after that. I miss him more than words can explain. His laugh, his big smile, the way he called me "Big nose" I carry it all with me. I´m still healing, but I´m trying. For him.

Hi Uncle Jalen,
It´s been two years since you´ve been gone, and not a day goes by that I don´t think about you. I miss you so much. There are things I wish I could´ve said things I didn´t get the chance to tell you. Most of all, I wish I could´ve said goodbye.
You meant a lot to me more than I probably ever said out loud. Your presence, your laughter, your way of making things feel okay. I carry all of that with me. One of my favorite memories is how we were always laughing. You had such a big smile, and you´d light up the whole room. You used to call me "Big nose" and even though I used to roll my eyes, it always made me laugh because I knew it was your special way of joking and showing love. I miss that smile. I miss those laughs. And I miss you.Even though you´re not here physically, I still talk to you in my heart. I hope somehow, somewhere, you can hear me. I love you, Uncle Jalen. Thank you for being part of my life, even if our time was too short. This isn´t the goodbye I wanted but maybe it´s the one I needed to start healing.
I´ll never forget you.

hey uncle I miss you so much and I love you sm I got my first job this summer I'm going to the 11th grade I run track now I'm pretty fast remember we raced and y'all beat me idk about now omgg Sani finished school she wanted you there so bad but its okay we were all there for you uncle we miss you watch over us
