James Coorssen Obituary

James was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Louisville School of Law. He was a partner of Wyatt, Tarrant and Combs, LLP.
James was preceded in death by Mary Campbell Moore Coorssen, his wife of 61 years, on December 28, 2021.
He is survived by; son, James L. Coorssen, Jr. (his wife, Anne, and their daughters, Sophie and Caroline); his son David M. Coorssen (his sons, Campbell and Grant); and his daughter, Mary Randolph Coorssen Elder, (her husband, Matthew, and their daughters, Claire, Gracie and Elise).
There will be a memorial visitation from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews. There will be no formal service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of gifts to Sacred Hearts Schools, Inc. for Sacred Heart Academy, 3177 Lexington Road, Louisville, KY 40206.
