James is a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from Department of Highways. James enjoyed scuba diving, traveling, 4 wheeling, his camper and had a love for trucks.
James is survived by his daughter, Emily Thewlis (Charles) of Westover; son, Brent Cordray of Morgantown; sisters, Ollie Cordray and Becky Barabe; and granddaughters, Zoey and Haley Thewlis.

Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 10 am until the 12 pm service time with Pastor Stacy Chrise-Tritt officiating. Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com
