James Alan Dennee

James “Jim” A. Dennee, 83, of Kaukauna passed away on December 27, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family.    James Alan Dennee was born on August 26, 1940 in Menasha, Wisconsin, to Peter and Bernice (Cartwright) Dennee. He was their second of three sons. Jim graduated from Menasha High School in 1958 and then served a term in the United States National Guard before working as a Police Officer in Menasha for several years. Jim later found his lifelong career as an Outside Salesman for WS Patterson Company/First Supply where he proudly served many customers until retirement in 1998.    On June 18,1982 Jim was united in marriage with the love of his life, Janice Diedrick. They enjoyed 32 years together before Jan was called home. Jim and Jan enjoyed traveling together, seeing most of the 50 states, Canada, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Mexico. They also loved spending time with family at their home on Lake Noquebay in Crivitz.   During his life, Jim took great pride in growing and tending to his magnificent rose gardens. Jim loved nature and was also an avid hunter; a hobby and passion he was proud to share with his sons and grandsons. He taught the boys how to enjoy and respect the sport, and he looked forward to that time together each fall. Jim's grandchildren will always remember his famous "Bee Game" and the elegant Christmas Eve parties at Grandpa's house. There are many more unforgettable memories and stories that will continue to be shared with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He only hopes there will be gummy worm sandwiches (and ice cream) in Heaven too!   He is survived by his five children; James (Laurie) Dennee: Stacy (Tom) Van Eperen; Michelle (Mitch) Heimlich; Paul (Diana) Dennee; Cheryl (Scott) Lehl; Grandchildren; Tom (Roma) Van Eperen; Jacqueline (Mike) Dennee; Christopher (Autumn) O’ Connell; Theresa (Nick) Thorn; Amanda (TJ) O’ Connell; Nicole (Donovan) O’Connell; Ashley (Joe) Hoier; Megan Lehl; Cassie (Christopher) Wartman; Alexandra Dennee; Ashley (Matthew) Nordlund ; Andy (Katherine) Dennee; Emily (Gary) Nelson; Maria Rickert, and twins Charlotte & Zoey Dennee; 18 great grandchildren; his brother Daniel (Judy) Dennee; brother-in-law Ron (Sandy) Diedrick: sister-in-law Margaret (Russ) Robley, and Vonnie Dennee.   He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Bernice; his wife Jan; his brother Larry; and a special nephew Michael Dennee.   "A loving Father, tender and kind, what a beautiful memory you've left behind."   A Christian Celebration of Life will be held at The Core, 820 W College Ave, Appleton, WI, 54914 on 1/06/2024 at 12:00 pm followed by full military honors. Visitation time will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon.   In lieu of flowers the family has designated Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for memorial contributions.   Jim's family would like to thank the staff at The Heritage for their wonderful compassionate care, especially hospice nurse Tiffany and CNA Cesar.
