Funeral Service for James J.E. Dotson III, 26, of Dermott, AR will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025. Service will be held at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 1109 North School Street, Dermott; Rev. Michael Wolfe, Pastor and Officiating Minister.
James was born on March 26, 1999 to James Dotson and Peggy Thomas in McGehee, Arkansas. He was educated and graduated from Dermott High School; graduating with the class of 2017.
James worked several jobs during his career. His present job was with Harvest Rice, where he worked as Security Guard. He loved riding horses, motorcyles, and ATVs.
James transitioned from this life on Friday, July 18, 2025, at McGehee Hospital. He is survived by three children, Adrienne Dotson of Camden, AR, SeMaje Spratt and James Dotson IV of McGehee, AR; his parents, Ricardo and Peggy Thomas Cleveland of Dermott, AR; Grandmothers, Bobbie Simpson of Dermott, AR and Renee Morris of Glenn Heights, TX; five siblings, Ashleigh Barnes of Dermott, AR, Allen Barnes Jr. (Jaicara) of Greenville, MS, Aniyah Dotson of Dermott, AR; one step-brother, Ricardo Cleveland Jr. of Pine Bluff, AR, and two step-sisters, JaMaya Cleveland and Aaronette Cleveland of Pine Bluff, AR. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Kylianna Dotson.
Burial will take place at Davis Cemetery, Dermott. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 111 North Freeman Street, Dermott.
