James Dunn Obituary

He was born on October 21, 1959, to Shirley and Don Knapp. James married Eunice Moore on May 2, 1992, in Sparta, Illinois.
James was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He was a very good mechanic who had a knack for engines. He could keep any motor running. He had a passion for building hot rods and racing. He once won 2nd in a quarter mile drag race in Benton, Illinois on I57 drag strip. He also enjoyed fishing for bass and crappie, cooking and barbequing in his spare time. He also did construction and could remodel a house and make it beautiful again. His favorite holiday was Halloween and he really enjoyed haunted houses.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Dunn; one daughter, Angel Dunn; two sons, Jimmy Jr. (Jennifer) Dunn, Josh (Ashley) Moore; one brother, Billy Dunn; one sister, Tammy Douglas; and eight grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Tim Dunn; and one sister, Dixie Dunn.
A celebration of life will be held on October 25, 2025.
