Share your Memorial with Family & Friends James W. Eckles On April 15, 2025, James W. Eckles left this world for a better place. A little over a month shy of his 71st birthday, he was a resident of Cocoa, Fl. He passed away surrounded by love with his family and friends by his side at Melbourne Holmes Regional Hospital. Born in Pittsburg Pennsylvania but spent his years growing up in the areas in and around Atlanta Georgia, Jim grew up enjoying people and good times. He regularly recanted memories of his youth, one of the fondest being seeing the Allman Brothers play at Piedmont Park. He spent most of his career working with Rockwell Automation. He transferred to Cape Canaveral Florida in the early 90's and watched the company transform into United Space Alliance as the head of facilities. He retired after a long and fruitful career filled with acknowledgments and awards. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, listen to music, and having a good strong drink with good people. He loved his children and more than anything loved his Grandson Cameron. He is preceded in death by his sister Debby Brown, and mother and father James R. Eckles and Marilyn M. Bond. His memory will live on through his children Justin, Lindsay, Christoper, and Houston. His name will be carried on through his Grandson Cameron. He will be greatly missed but never gone or forgotten.Services will be held on June 20, 2025 from 3-6pm at Manatee Park in Cape Canaveral. Dad loved a happy hour and he loved dogs. The park is dog friendly. Please bring them. He enjoyed when there was a pack of dogs running around holiday gatherings.
