Jimmy Joe was a loving Husband for 76 yrs, Father of 2, Grandfather to 6. Blessed by having 15 Great grandchildren and 6 Great great grandchildren with 2 more arriving soon. Jim had a loving extended family of his daughter-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Jim enjoyed many years as a member of the Kosair Shrine Temple, Shively Lewis Parkland Masonic Lodge and Kosair Boat Club where his bond with friends felt more like family. His large group of family and friends also enjoyed time on the river when he wasn't holding a paint brush or hammer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Teresa and Joe; 2 sisters & and one great grandchild, James J. Etheridge VI.
Visitation will take place from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday October 8th, 2025 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. His service will take place at 1:00 pm Thursday October 9th, 2025 at Highlands Funeral Home. Burial will take place at St. Louis Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of your choosing.

I don't know where to began, you beautiful people have been in my life for 30yrs he was the best man, had a beautiful soul !!!! Please Memaw rest peacefully knowing he's with Teresa and Joe I'm sure they welcomed him with open arms I love you so very much
