James E. Farler, age 49, passed away on October 9, 2024, at 6:15 am, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. James was born on February 4, 1975, in Lima, OH, to Donald E. and Mona L. (McLaughlin) Farler who preceded him in death. On May 28, 2004, he married Jenny J. (Conrad) Farler who survives in Lima.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his children: Ethan, Chase, Korbin and Kaleb, all of Lima, OH, his siblings: Donald K. Farler of Lima, OH, Christopher D. (Kathy) Farler of Chillicothe, OH, David Scott (Shelly) Farler of Indian Lake, OH, Brian E. Farler of Lima, OH, Lori (John) Daley of Lima, OH, William T. Farler of Lima, OH, Tonya "Sue" Farler of Lima, OH and Thom (Marlene) Ryan of Dayton, OH, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His extended family includes his father and mother in-law, Jim and Chris Conrad of Lima, OH, a sister in-law, Lori (Andrew) Brooks of Lima, OH and a brother in-law, Jimmy (Kendra) Conrad of Dublin, OH.
James was a graduate of Bath High School. He started his career with joining the Labor Local #329 where he worked for several years in construction. Then in 2019, he and his brother started their own company, "Good Brothers Construction Company" where he worked until his illness prevented him from working. He had been attending Lima First Church. James enjoyed hunting and fishing and treasured the times in the boat with his good buddy Ron Bowman. He also had a love of listening to music and playing music on his piano and guitar. Above all else, he loved spending time with his boys and his family.
There will be a funeral service held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Lima First Church where friends can visit from 10:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Pastor Darrell Bucher. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Uniopolis, OH following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Lima First Church Horizon Project. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
