James Frederick Faykosh, age 83, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on January 18, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Anna (Alexander) Faykosh. Jim was a 1960 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He worked as an Ironworker for 30 years with the Local #55, retiring in 1999. Jim was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and the Rossford Eagles. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Faykosh; daughter, Jan (Tom) Poulson; grandchildren, Tommy Poulson, and Annamarie (Andy) Poulson; sisters, Phyllis (Jim) Schalitz, and Sandy (Don) Pavlica; close family friends, Bernie Bronikowski, and Bridget Burgess; special nephew, Patrick (Julie) Willhauck, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Krissey Faykosh, and sister, Jody Willhauck.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Monday at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Walbridge, Ohio from 9:30-10:30 a.m. where the funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
