James Firstiun Obituary

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Firstiun. James is lovingly survived by his children, James R. Firstiun Jr., Michael Firstiun, and Christy Slaver; his brothers, Jack Firstiun and Carl Firstiun; as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life, James shared a remarkable career with the railroad, demonstrating unwavering work ethic and perseverance.
He was also a cherished member of the New Baltimore Reformed Church, where he found fellowship and purpose.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, as we honor and celebrate his meaningful life and enduring impact. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of James, please visit our Tree Store.
