James Earl Fisk

On Friday, July 18, 2025, James Earl Fisk at the age of 83, passed away at his home in Wetumka, Oklahoma. James was born on February 27, 1942, in Weleetka, Oklahoma and was the oldest son of Harold Fisk and Ruby Keen Fisk.
James was a long-time resident of Wetumka having graduated from Wetumka high School. James was a member of the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in September of 1964. After high school, James moved to California and worked at Westinghouse for 12 years. Returning home to Wetumka he joined the Pipeliners Union Local 798 in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was a member for over 50 years. James worked in the pipeline industry as a pipeline welder working all over the United States including the Alaska pipeline, as well as internationally.
James was married to Helen Ruth Tyler on February 12, 1988, who preceded him in death on November 30, 2022, after many happy years together. Helen traveled with James as he worked on the pipeline seeing many parts of the United States together.
James was also preceded in death by his parents and two younger brothers, Harold Wayne Fisk and Terry Fisk. James is survived by his youngest brother, Darrell K. Fisk and wife Nancy as well as his only child, Brian Fisk. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brian "Bubba," Chelsey and Ashley, and great-grandchildren and a host of longtime friends.
