James M. Haft, age 67, of Erie, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was born in Erie on April 6, 1957, son of the late Norman and Marilyn Smock Haft.
James was a faithful employee at General Electric for over 30 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. James was lucky to have his devoted friend, Stevie, who never left his side and his longtime companion and friend, Susan.
James leaves behind his children, Christy (Andy), Phillip (Michelle), Shane (Sara), Cassandra and Jason; his sisters, Kathie (Tony) and Patricia; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Haft.
Private arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.

Jim was a very quiet man but his actions taught me a lot . WORK ETHIC, carpentry, and if you want something you better get it yourself because nobody is going to just hand it to you. I WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE UPMOST RESPECT FOR JIM FOR ALL THE THINGS HE DID FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.

He was a great guy. I couldn't have asked for a better step dad. He was in our lives for almost 40 years. I will truly miss him. May you rest easy now.
