Mr. James E. Harris, 89, entered eternal rest on December 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Ruby Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley J. Harris; his children, Charles E. Harris (Letty) of Graniteville, SC, Larry D. Harris (Terri) of Graniteville, SC, Christopher O. Harris (Lisa) of Tignall, GA, Michael S. Harris (Ginny) of Vaucluse, SC and Beverlee A. Mitchum (Wesley) of North Augusta, SC; his grandchildren, Haylee Harris Babb (Nathan), Hunter Harris, Jena Deas (Zeke), Lindsey Harris, Morgan Harris, Savannah Harris, Samantha Molena (Jesus), Haley Garcia (Andrew), Dylan Clegg, Cristopher Clegg, Destiny Harden, Jonathan Mitchum and Nathan Mitchum; great grandchildren, Beau Deas, Nina Deas, Karson Garcia, Emma Garcia, Sophia Clegg, Harlon Clegg, Emilia Clegg, Baby Boy Molena; Siblings, William Harris, Delores Newsome and Robert Harris (Mary).
James was born in Vaucluse, SC and lived there for most of his life. He served 8 years in the U.S. Army. He worked for Graniteville Company and retired from Beloit Manhattan in 1998. He loved fishing, planting flowers and working in his garden.
In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
