James R Herceg

James R. Herceg, 79, of Binghamton, NY passed away Saturday afternoon, March 5, 2022 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Born March 13, 1942 in Endicott, NY. Jim was the son of the late Peter and Matilda Herceg. He was a member of the 1960 graduating class of Vestal High School. Jim served 3 years in the U.S. Army in Germany.(1960-1963). Jim was a tool and die maker in a few companies in the Triple Cities area. On June 27, 1964 he married the former Sandra J. Rogers in Johnson City, NY. They shared 57 years together and raised 2 boys. Surviving are his wife Sandra of Binghamton; brother in law, Harry G. Rogers of Owego; children: Peter (Cheryl) Herceg of Vestal, N.Y., Paul (Ruth Ellen) Herceg of Gaithersburg, MD; eight grandchildren: Carrie Ann Herceg Spaziano, Ryan and Shawn of Harpursville, Elisabeth, Mary, Stephen, Jonathan and Amy of Gaithersburg, MD; and 5 great granddaughters. The family will join in the Celebration of Life at a later date.
