James "Trixy" Jeffries, age 69, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.
James was born September 23, 1955 in Ottawa, Illinois to Richard and Marlene (Vicini) Jeffries. He married Cindy Connerly May 6, 1978 at St. Mary's Church in Naplate. Cindy preceded in death March 21, 2014. Trixy is survived by his loving daughters Jennifer (Eric) Wheeler and Stacy Jeffries all of Ottawa; and grandchildren Hannah and Conner Wheeler and Cain and Trenton Kakara. He also leaves brothers Richard "Rick" (Judy) Jeffries and John (Shari) Jeffries all of Ottawa; a sister Jody (Rodney) Kennedy of Ottawa; and his companion Rene Forsyth of Ottawa. His parents and wife preceded in death.
James was of the Catholic faith. He was an avid classic car owner and enjoyed exhibiting in car shows. Trixy was a member of Pipefitters Local 597. Spare time would find him gardening, playing horseshoes or watching hummingbirds at his feeder. His most precious time was that spent with his family, especially his grandkids.
Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
