James "Jim" Andrew Jilek, 52, of Mattawan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer on Wednesday November 13, 2024, at the Wings Home in Allegan.
He was born March 22, 1972, in Melrose Park, Illinois, the son of Phillip Jilek.
Jim was an extremely hard-working man and dedicated 20+ years to Better Made Snack Foods as a Regional Sales Manager. In his free time, he loved to show dogs and at one point owned 6 dogs at once! He could also be found cheering on his favorite team, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Above all else, Jim's favorite title was "Dad". His three children were his world, and he was extremely proud of them and their accomplishments.
Jim's warm presence will be deeply missed by the love of his life, Courtney (Quant) Jilek; his three beloved children, Camryn, Liam and Finley Jilek; his brother, Robert (Mary) Jilek; two nieces, Halley and Sami Jilek; nephew, Kyle Jilek; father, Phil Jilek and his three fur babies, Rogan, Mary Grace and Sterling.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for his children, checks made payable to Courtney Jilek.
