James Sutter, 50 , of Reynoldsburg, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2025. Jim was born September 19, 1974 in Punxsutawney, PA to Jim and Adda (Davis) Sutter.

Jim will be deeply missed by mother and father, sister Heather Sutter, nephews Xavier Gronbach and Oliver Sutter and his lifelong friend Malcolm Giffen.

Jim leaves behind close family members who he treasured deeply. Aunts and Uncles, Nancy, Jane & Rich, Don & Sharon, Sandra & Harry, Darlene & Dan, Kate, Kevin, Irvin & Sandy, Rob & Tammy and Harry as well as several cousins.

He also leaves behind so many friends he made throughout the years. Close friends Aaron, JK, Jimmy, Kirk, and Dave and other fishing buddies, disc golf friends, fellow gamers, outdoor enthusiasts and everyday adventurers.

Those who knew him knew he had a variety of skillsets, passions, and talents. Growing up he was deeply involved with Royal Rangers through the church where he honed skills such as knots, trapping, and camping as well as the study of plants, trees, and wildlife. This is what sparked his love for the outdoors and nature.

Through his teenage years he loved going to concerts, fishing, frisbee golf, camping, and traveling with friends. He took horticulture in high school where he went on to participate in plant and garden shows and competitions in which he won several awards.

Later years Jim continued doing much of the same with his best friend of many years Malcolm Giffen. Always fishing. Always traveling, Always in nature where he felt most at home. Jim was a kind, unique, and generous person. He was always available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a great sense of humor and was always up for trying new things and going on an adventure. He was passionate about living life and being with those he cared about. He accepted people for who they were and always made them feel welcome and at home in his presence. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all.

Visitation will be Monday, April 28. 2025 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Memorial services will be Monday at 3:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Rob Davis officiating.
