Golden Gate Funeral Home - DallasJames Louis Kibble Jr., a dedicated supervisor at the VA Medical Center and a beloved family man, departed this world on December 10, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on March 30, 1946, in Ferris, Texas, James lived a life that mirrored his larger-than-life personality—funny, bossy, and always impeccably dressed. His laughter resonated with an infectious warmth that drew people near, a testament not only to his charm but also to his love for those around him.
An alumnus of Dunbar High School, Class of 1965, James proudly served in the U.S. Army, embodying the spirit of dedication that he carried throughout his life. Beyond his professional accomplishments, his greatest pride blossomed within the realm of his family. He cherished every moment spent with his wife, Patricia Kibble, and was devoted to his children: Sharon Everett, Alegura Perez, DeErick Washington, and Adrian Jackson. James had a special place in his heart for his host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one a gleaming reflection of his legacy, surrounded by laughter and all the love he could provide.
Known for his witty banter and unwavering confidence in his opinions, James cultivated friendships that were rooted in humor and endless conversation. Whether discussing the latest happenings surrounding the Dallas Cowboys or the nostalgic allure of western films, he brought a vibrant energy to every gathering. Few could match his knack for storytelling, filling rooms with tales that danced between reality and whimsy.
For those fortunate enough to know him, the memories of James are suffused with joy—the twinkle in his eye as he watched his grandkids play, the way his laugh echoed during cherished family gatherings, and his firm, yet loving demeanor that defined his role as both a father and a mentor to many.
A time to honor James will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, where friends and family can gather to share their affection and memories of this remarkable man. The viewing will take place on December 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on December 29 at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, where he will continue to watch over his loved ones with pride.
In a world that now feels a little less bright, James Louis Kibble Jr. leaves behind a legacy rich with love and laughter, forever etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
