James Keith Killgo, 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 3, 2022. A memorial service for James will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday July 13, 2022 at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights, Texas.
James Keith was born on December 12, 1960 to Charles Royal Killgo and Mina Faye Nettles Killgo in Fort Benning, Georgia. James was a mechanic by trade and had worked 38 years for non-appropriated funds on Ft. Hood at Albee Lanes, Bowlers Green and Phantom Warrior Lanes. After his retirement from Ft. Hood, he took a job at St. Paul's Catholic Church as their maintenance man. He thoroughly loved working outdoors and taking care of the church grounds. Riding the tractor was his favorite and he said it was very relaxing for him. His job at the church kept him very busy working inside and out. He was the "go to guy" for anything that needed done. When he had free time, he was either taking a Carnival Cruise or out on Lake Belton fishing or in Corpus Christi deep sea fishing. He also had a deep love for animals having 4 cats and 2 dogs rescued from the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center. He was often times helping his wife and daughter with the endless stream of foster kittens they brought home thru their Volunteering at the Pet Adoption Center. James never met a stranger; he would always step up and help anyone at anytime with anything. His church family could call on him anytime of the night or day and he would be there to help out anyway he could.
James Keith Killgo was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mina Killgo; his sister, Barbara Miller and his brothers, Kirk Killgo and David Killgo.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Killgo; his son, Matthew Beach; his daughter, Rebecca Killgo and his nephews, Daniel Killgo and Joseph Killgo.
