James "Mike" Langenfeld

Mike Langenfeld, DDS, a cherished member of the Tifton, GA community and retired dentist, passed away April 3, 2025 at the age of 82. He was the son of Jim and Mary Alice Langenfeld.
He was a pillar of the community, known for his gentle hands and compassionate approach to patient care.
Born in Centralia, IL Mike graduated from Wabash College in Illinois and later earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University. He served as a Captain in the Army Dental Corp from 1968 - 1971. He then started a practice in Tifton where he retired in 2010.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Glass and his brother, Thomas Eugene Langenfeld.
Mike is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Angela Davis (Bonner), and Marisa Hulin; grandchildren, Autumn Joy Davis, Forest Davis (Abby) and Jordan Davis (Jackie); and great granddaughter, Nezzie Davis.
Mike was also a lifelong golfer and found joy and camaraderie on the course. He was a member of Springhill Country Club and enjoyed many rounds with his friends, 2$ boys. His love of the game took him to Hawaii, Scotland, Ireland, Dominican Republic and Mexico in addition to many courses in the US.
Mike will be missed by his family, friends and the many patients whose lives he touched. His legacy of kindness, compassion and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Monday, April 14 at Northside Baptist Church in Tifton. Family will receive friends and family from 2:00 - 3:00 pm with the service following at 3:30.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Tunnel of Towers, Wounded Warriors, St Joseph Children's Hospital or PB and Jesus in memory of Mike.
