The world's light is shining a little dimmer with the passing of James (Jimmy) Luciano, 50 years old of Eastchester, NY. Jimmy passed away on August 27, 2024. Loving husband of Kim Pressmar Luciano, beloved father of James Luciano, Jr. (JJ) and his loyal companion dog, Penny.
Jimmy was born in White Plains, NY on August 3, 1974 to Barbara Liucci Luciano and the late Joseph Luciano. He leaves behind his brother, Joseph Luciano, Jr.; sister-in-law, Linda Luciano; sister-in-law and her husband, Melissa and Seth Howard; brother-in-law, James Pressmar; and mother-in-law, Toni Pressmar. Predeceased by his father-in-law Jim Pressmar. Uncle of Ray Pressmar, Rocco Luciano, Christina and Danny Romanello, and great uncle of Gianna Romanello. Beloved nephew of William and Dolores Liucci, Andy and Susan Liucci, and the late Joseph Liucci. Cousin of Billy and Dorie Liucci, Lorna McCabe, Alex and Mackenzie Liucci, Sofia and Joseph Liucci, Jr.
Jimmy graduated from Eastchester High School in 1992 where he played football and basketball. He graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology.
Jimmy's love of animals inspired him to open Animal Crossings pet store in Eastchester which he owned for 5 years. After closing the pet store, he was employed by the Town of Eastchester until his passing.
His passion for environmentalism led him to be a member of The Eastchester Environmental Committee. One of his favorite pastimes was collecting comic books and attending any of the comic book conventions. His favorite vacations were trips to Disney World and Rhode Island with his family. Every Monday night he could be found at the Piper's Kilt with his long time, devoted friends. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He overcame so many medical obstacles, identifying him as a true Superman.
Jimmy was a kind and gentle soul who will be remembered for his witty and clever sense of humor, positivity, and genuine smile. He touched so many people's lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 4-8pm at Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY. 10709. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30am at Assumption Church, 100 Pleasant Ave, Tuckahoe, NY.

Jimmy was one of my son Michael“s first friends. I was so saddened to hear of his health struggles over the years. He was one of the sweetest , kind, compassionate and joyful child I knew. My heart goes out to his family and endless group of friend! Sending love to Barbara, Kim and JJ especially.

When death knocks at the door of kind souls like Jimmy and his father Joseph Luciano, it's hard to understand God's intent. Perhaps God looks favorably on those who are filled with love, kindness and compassion and calls them home to alleviate their suffering. I know that Jimmy is now in heaven with his Dad.Fred Mariani

The kind and generous soul of this fine your man. His manner, sense of humor and most of all his love of animals. He loved and supported his family. May he rest in peace ! My heart goes out to the family, especially his mama, Barbara.
