Obituary for Brian T. Scully

Brian Thomas Scully was born on April 17, 1973 and passed away on September 2, 2025 after over a year long battle with cancer.

He moved to Eastchester in August of 1974. He attended Immaculate Conception School becoming an Altar Server at Immaculate Conception Church where he had been baptized. He went on to attend Iona Prep and Eastchester High School. Brian worked for Verizon for almost thirty years and so enjoyed driving "the big truck" during his last few years. He was "Dad" to his beloved pets Rogue and Chester. Rogue has been so sad an attached to him these last few months.

He had a favorite Gaelic expression as a tattoo on his chest. The translation is "Family Above All Else". His love of family was quiet and strong. Brian was an accomplished chef. He was happiest and most relaxed creating meals and barbecues for everyone to enjoy. Family meals will never be the same.

Brian is survived by his loving parents Kathleen and Bill ("Step-Bill") Humphries; his cherished sister, Colleen (Jimmy) Scully-King, nephew, Connor Scully and sister, Penelope (Chris) Parmenter. He is also survived by his Aunts, Maureen (Eric) Wulf, Eileen (Tim) McKeon and Colleen (James) Farrelly and cousins Chris (Cynthia), TJ (Erica, Lois, Emmet), Shannon (Pierre, Eva, Sienna), Carolyn (Wilson, Everly, Deacon), Kerry (James, Jack), Meghan, Tara (Eric) and James Patrick as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

Brian is predeceased by his beloved Great Grandmother Essie his Grandparents Terence and Margaret and his Uncle Terence Rice.

In lieu of flowers, the family is looking into details regarding a cause which became close to his heart during his many months at home.
