James "Jim" Allen Mason, age 80, died on Saturday, August 16, 2025, after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Benita Krause Mason. Jim is also survived by a sister, Elsie Mason; and a brother, Paul "Bud" Mason; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alan Mason and Elnora Fluhr Mason; and sisters, Mary Margaret Coakley, Frances McCarty, and Helen Richmer.
Jim served in the United States Air Force and graduated from Indiana University. He was a computer programmer for Baptist Hospital then a system analyst for the Courier Journal.
Cremation was chosen following Jim's wishes and he will be laid to rest at Saint Peters Catholic Cemetery in Buena Vista, Indiana.
