PLYMOUTH -- James R. Matlack, of Rumney, New Hampshire, passed away on November 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, dedication, and strength. Born and raised in Ewing, New Jersey, James grew up surrounded by a close, devoted family who nurtured his generous spirit and unmistakable sense of humor.

A proud graduate of Ewing High School and Plymouth State University, James was a gifted athlete whose passion for wrestling and sports shaped both his discipline and determination. Whether on the mat, in the gym, or enjoying the outdoors, James embraced life with energy and enthusiasm.

James was also deeply committed to serving his community. As a juvenile probation officer, he was a dedicated officer of the court who worked tirelessly to support and guide young people, offering compassion, structure, and hope to those who needed it most. His work was a true reflection of his character-patient, caring, and unwavering in his belief in others.

Above all, James was devoted to his family. He is survived by his beloved partner, Macayla Noble, and their three children-Aliyah, Ava, and Jacob-who were the light of his life. He also leaves behind his mother and stepfather, Jami and Chuck DiFranco; his brother, CJ; his grandparents, Meem and Pop (Kurt and Pati Watson); his aunt Billee and uncle Tony; his uncle Ant and Hannah; his cousins Daniel, Madelyn, Bella, Santino, Harper, and Hazel; and his stepsister, Angela. James is additionally survived by his father, Ricardo Molina, and many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

James will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his ability to bring joy to any room, and his unwavering support for the people he cared about. His humor, kindness, and bright spirit made an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Calling hours to honor James's life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth, NH. A celebration of life will also be held in New Jersey at a later date, with details to be announced.

He will be profoundly missed, and his memory will live on through the stories, smiles, and love he leaves behind.
