James Don McLoud, 60, of Huntsville; passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at UAMS Hospital, Little Rock. He was born Wednesday, July 17, 1963, at Huntsville; to Don Bertley and Twila Faye Masterson McLoud.
James married Debra Kay Pittman on Friday, March 19, 2004, at Eureka Springs; and together they were parents to four children. He worked as an electrician and was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church. He took great satisfaction in his profession, always striving for excellence. James was recognized for his sometimes ornery personality, yet he was equally renowned for his compassionate nature and willingness to help others. His profound affection for his family (and his cherished cat, "Tater") was evident to all who knew him.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Twila McLoud. He is survived by his wife, Debra McLoud, of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joshua and Samantha Burks, Kenneth and Ashley McLoud, and Cade McLoud, all of Huntsville; one daughter, Kylie McLoud, of Huntsville; and three grandchildren, Keirston Burks, Lakota McLoud, and Kash McLoud. He is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Brad Hall, one nephew, Lane Hall, and one niece, Allie Hall, all of Huntsville.
The family will receive friends 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Brashears Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, March 29, 2024, at Marshall Cemetery with Larry Mitchell officiating. Pallbearers will be Joshua Burks, Kenneth McLoud, Cade McLoud, Kylie McLoud, Jeff Chitwood, Brad Gilmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Hickman, Nick Smith, Brian Bennett, Ron Bolinger, and Charlie Crowder. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
