A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for James Arthur Moses, 76, will be Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Bro. Corey Morrow officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Moses passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at his residence. He was born September 2, 1949, in Morgan County, to Roy Ernest Moses and Mernerva Caroline Shadden Moses.

James was born and raised in Priceville. He worked for many years as a carpenter and cabinet maker, before later starting to raise chickens. He was affectionately known as "Papa" and was loved by all who knew him. He found joy in spending time outdoors and riding across his land.

On September 13th, 2025, he professed his faith, through baptism, at his home. In his final days, he was surrounded by his loved ones, often speaking of Heaven, where he rejoices now for eternity.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Roy Russell Moses.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his Wife - Janice Springer Moses, a Son - James Ernie Moses, and two Grandchildren - Rylee Moses and Bristol Moses.

Pallbearers will be Randall Barnett, James Guyse, Justice Johnson, John Morgan, John Michael, and Rusty Mason

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Short and Zach Phillips.
