James H. Musto

James Howard Musto, "Jim", of North Falmouth, MA, passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2025, on his 87th birthday. He is the beloved husband of Mary (Hill) Musto, with whom he was married for over 65 years. Mary and Jim built a legacy of love, partnership, and resilience, and together, they built a loving family and home.
Born on July 9, 1938, Jim lived a life filled with love and creativity. A true renaissance man, Jim's talents knew no bounds. He was a master artist, whose creativity flourished in painting, sculpture, architecture, interior and landscape design. Jim's hands could transform any space. His artistry extended beyond the visual - playing the piano, downhill skiing, and sailing as he moved through life and onto any dance floor with infectious exuberance. He approached each medium with devotion and a zest for life that inspired all who knew him. Never one to shy away from a conversation, he had an unmatched gift for making friends and could talk up a storm with anyone he met.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mary Musto; his daughter, Amy Musto; his beloved grandchildren Angelina Musto, Julia Musto, Camden Musto, and Shane Musto; his brothers, Lincoln Musto, and Peter Musto; his daughters-in-law Patricia Musto, Michelle Reilly, and Susan Deloughrey Musto.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Alphonse "Mally" Musto, and Frances "Fanny" Musto; and his sons James "Jay" Musto, and Timothy "Tim" Musto.
A Funeral Mass will be held on July 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM on at Saint Elizabeth Anne Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd., North Falmouth, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Patrick Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth MA, 02540, or to a charity of your choice.
