A great soul serves everyone,all the time a great soul never dies.It brings us together again.
On January 2,1955,God breathed the life in James E. Odom Jr, and on July 30,2024 the breath returned to thelord from which it came.As the body perish,the spirit that we can recall from our memories are eternal.
James "BIG JIMMY" as known by many grew up in Baltimore.He obtained his education in city schools.It wasnt untill highschool where Jimmy found his love for sports where he played football for Frederick Douglass highschool (he loved his fellow alumni ).Jimmy had a strong love for football espcially the ravens football sundays where his favorite.Aside of a love for sports Jimmy was knownfor having a compassion of helping and mentoring others where he worked for BISM many years.Aside of work Jimmy was loved by many in the North and Pulaski community.Big Jim will be forever remembered for his strong voice,love for football (espically the bets), Kangol hats (he loved his hats),being a loyal friend to (Scotty Lamont Rudie Cab),his abiltiys to get the family together when anyone got outta line(we did not play with big jimmy) hardworker,supportive grandfather and lastly a loving father.
James is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy odom Father James odom Sr. Sister Deborah Odom SOn Jamie Odom
He leaves to cherish loving memories his sons James odom III Quantae Odom Daughter Jenisa ODom and ticchia mccoy One loving grandson Nolan Major
Grandddaughters Janiya Odom Keshawana Odom and Nori Major One nephew Emanuel (man) Three loving aunts Helen Ruth And Faye daughter in law mellissa and niesha great grandchildren Keziyah Zion and James one longterm loving friend Emmaline a host of nieces cousins and friends.
