James R. Osmolski Age 76 US Marines, US Army, and US Army Reserves
James Osmolski was the loving husband of Jan M. Osmolski (née Ricci) for 53 years. He grew up in Chicago and attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church. During his middle school years, his family moved to the southwest suburbs, where he completed grade school before attending Tinley Park High School. After high school, James enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and completed basic training at Camp Pendleton in California. He was then stationed in Okinawa, Japan, during the Vietnam War, serving for 19 months before returning home. He later worked for 10 years at a corporation, but his deep sense of service led him to enlist in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves, where he served for a total of 32 years.
Beyond his military career, James pursued a passion for scientific research. He spent 10 years conducting animal research at Fort Detrick, Maryland, before working as a lab researcher in the Infectious Diseases Department at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. His professionalism and dedication earned him recognition among colleagues, including researchers and doctors. His contributions were highly regarded, and he was cited in numerous research papers at Loyola University's Stritch School of Medicine.
Beloved husband of Jan Osmolski (nee Ricci).
Loving father of Gail Emer, Victoria Lindamood, Jonathan (Sarah) Osmolski, and Steven Osmolski.
