Jim was born June 4, 1947, in Mt. Vernon, WA to Lorraine & Jack Overway, and passed away on Nov. 18, 2023 at the family home on Spanaway Lake, WA.
Jim graduated from Bethel High School in 1965 followed by two years at Olympic College in Bremerton. He was proud to serve the next six years in the USAF Reserves while studying pharmacy and interning at the University of Washington. Jim worked tirelessly for decades as a pharmacist at Lakewood General & St. Clare Hospitals. He was awarded his Doctorate Degree from the UW which served him well in the final years of his remarkable 37 year career. Jim will be remembered for his passionate faith in his Savior and Lord, his love of family, friends, country, and UW Husky football. GO DAWGS!

Jim is survived by his wife, Janis (Bitow Correll) Overway, son Stuart (Paula) Correll, grandsons Bill & Ben Correll, sisters Diane (John) Blixt & LeAnne (Randy) Snow, plus many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Jim's life will be held Summer 2024 at the lake house on Jim's favorite holiday, the 4th of July.
