Dr James "Jim" Robertson was born on October 18th, 1932, in Anamosa, Iowa. He passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, in Sarasota, Florida. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his loved ones, including his devoted wife, Rose Robertson, and their sons, Kevin Robertson and Lori, Jeff Robertson and wife Julia. Jim was preceded in death by his loving parents, Pete and Ester, his sister Karen and his beloved son David.
A man of great integrity and wisdom, James dedicated his life to the field of Medicine, where his skills and compassion impacted countless lives. He graduated from The University of Iowa School of Medicine, then completed an internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Afterwards, he was a Captain at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas. He then completed a residency in Pathology at the University of Iowa. Subsequently, he moved his family to Evansville, Indiana where he was the Head of Pathology at Saint Mary's Medical Center. He held the position over 31 years and made significant contributions to the medical community.
James learned the value of hard work and perseverance at an early age, shaping his character as a conservative and dedicated individual. His passion for golf, boating, and cars reflected his zest for life and appreciation for the finer things. Whether spending time at Kentucky Lake, on the golf course, with his dog, or meticulously caring for his favorite car or boat, James found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
James love story with his wife, Rose, began at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, where their bond flourished and led to a lifetime of shared joys and cherished memories. Together, they, built a life filled with love, and unwavering support for one another and their family.
A man of few words but profound wisdom, James' presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and devotion to his family and others will continue to inspire all those whose lives he touched.

His memory will forever be treasured, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Rest in peace, Jim, knowing that you were truly loved and cherished by all.
