James W. Rose, Sr., aged 93, passed away on February 4, 2025. Born on June 23, 1931, James was a long-time resident of Southampton, PA, where he lived for over 70 years. A proud graduate of North Catholic High School, he dedicated more than five decades of his life as a furniture manufacturer representative, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
James served his country honorably as a veteran of the Korean War, a testament to his bravery and dedication. Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, James cherished the time spent with his beloved grandchildren. He also held a lifelong love for horses, having cared for one during his youth.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of over 66 years, Marion (Nee: Ferguson), who departed this world in 2018, and his dear sisters, Jackie (Bill) and Geraldine.
He is survived by his sons, James W. Rose, Jr., Timothy Rose, Dennis Rose, and David Rose and his wife Tracey. He leaves behind a legacy as a loving grandfather to Brittney and her husband RJ, Kelly, Rebecca and her husband Dan, and James, III. The joy of his life extended to his role as a great-grandfather to RJ and Reagan. James is also survived by his brothers, Bud (Helen) and Thomas (Theresa), as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
Family, friends, and others whose lives James touched are invited to attend viewing services on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the Campbell and Thomas Funeral Home, located at 905 Second Street Pike, Richboro, PA 18954. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. James will be laid to rest with military honors at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Association. Please visit the association's website for more information on how to contribute in James's memory.
He will be deeply missed but remembered with love and gratitude for a life well-lived.
