James E. Stucin 92, of Bolivar, died Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. Born December 3, 1932 in Uhrichsville, he was a son of the late Stephen and Rose (Mahalky) Stucin. He retired in 1998 from Republic Steel in Canton after 42 years. Jim was a Navy Veteran, a lifetime member of the Bolivar Sportsman's Club, lifetime member of the Army-Navy Club of Bolivar and enjoyed playing cards, darts, shooting pool and watching Ohio State football and all Cleveland sports teams. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed being outdoors He was also a member of the Bolivar Community Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Marlene Swank, whom he married September 6, 1958. Also survived by 2 sons James (Wendy) Stucin, Jr. of Dover and Wade (Diana) Stucin of Dover; 2 grandchildren Andrew (Kayla) Stucin of Green, Kaely (James) Kline of Massillon and 2 great grandchildren Kendra James Stucin, Grady Robert Kline, many nieces and nephews and his dog Roscoe In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 sisters Camilla "Millie" Bridgeman, Rose Boyer, Alma Luznar, Mary Luznar, Marjorie Wenger, Barbara Rice and 5 brothers Anthony, Frank, Albert, William and Charles. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar with Pastor Pete Price and Pastor Ted Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. Laurens Cemetery in Bolivar where military honors will be conducted. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
