Susan and I met Jim over 20 years ago. We had bought a small house in New Preston CT. Jim was recommended as a painter. He did a great job and - one project lead to another. I know this happened with most of his clients and all of the people we recommended him to. Jim became someone we trusted and enjoyed working with. He loved to share his love of family, his passion for cars and he told endless stories of eccentric clients. He even agreed to paint our house in Brooklyn. He came to stay with us for a few weeks. I have specific memory of sharing a couple of hours in an 18-inch attic, crawling on our stomachs to install; Jim was still telling stories! We will miss him, and we send our love to his family at this sad time.
