James Frank Willis, 42, of Dallas and formerly of Longview, TX, died on Monday, November 4, 2024. Born on April 3, 1982 in Longview, he was the son of the late James Rodney Willis and Denise Bufkin Soppe. Called "Bubba" by his family, he loved the Lord and demonstrated that through his loving, kind spirit and helpfulness. "Bubba" attended Trinity School of Texas and Spring Hill ISD during his years in Longview. He represented Spring Hill ISD at the UIL State Tennis Tournament as a Sophomore. Graduating High School in 2000 from Rockwall ISD, he played on their tennis team, advancing to UIL Regionals. He continued his outstanding tennis endeavors at Collin County Community College for two years. James began tennis at a young age and continued his love of the game as an adult – he taught tennis and organized tournaments throughout his life at different clubs in Dallas.
