James Fredrick Wilson, 81 years old, passed away on February 06, 2025 at HCA Florida West. He was born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan to his parents, Harold and Louvilla Fowler Wilson.
His family moved to Pensacola, FL from Michigan, when James was only two years old. His father was in the military, so the family had to move around according to his father's career.
James graduated from J.M. Tate High School and went into the Marines right out of high school and served for 15 years. After his service days, he mainly worked in the security industry. Working mainly in Hospitality in his later years and retired in 2017.
James was a strong man of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters-in-laws; and one of his brothers-in-law.
James is survived by his loving wife, Jaqualin Wilson; his sisters, Frances Wilson, Ann Brown, and Donna (Bruce) Balsan; son, Robert (Kathy) Brown; daughter, Tanya (David) McAteer; four grandchildren, Samantha (Nathan) Nims, Deanna (Jeramey) Brown, Hayley (Brie) Ashauer, and Miles Brown; two great granddaughters, Aurora Padgett and Amelia Melton; one niece and three nephews; and many other family members and friends.
We will have Traditional Funeral Service for Mr. James Fredrick Wilson on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola. The family invites guests to join them starting at 10:30 a.m. for the visitation, and the service will follow at 11:30 a.m. After the service, we will leave in procession to lay him to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
The family ask people to please come to his Celebration of Life at American Legion on Gulf Beach PKWY Post 240 from 2:00 p.m. til 4:00 p.m.
