Papaw,
You were always more than just our papaw, you were our role model, our biggest supporter, and our version of a superhero.
To know you was to love you. The stubborn man who loved everyone more than himself. The man who worked hard so others never had to. The man who paved the way, who loved unconditionally and hard, always had the biggest, toothless grin that warmed your heart, who always gave everything he had with no expectation of anything in return.
You were everything to all of us, and we are grateful to have had you as our papaw. You taught us how to put up a fight, how we should be treated as well as how to treat others, and how to never settle for less than we deserve. We will never forget the love you gave to us, or that twinkle in your eyes of how proud you were of us. We will survive you every day in efforts that we will be as kind, selfless, and compassionate as you.
We love you to the moon and back. Until we meet again, papaw.
