James E. Zickafoos, age 101, of Chillicothe, Ohio, died peacefully in his home.
He was born January 22, 1922, in Chillicothe, to the late John W. and Grace (Dennewitz) Zickafoos.
Surviving are a son, Timothy Zickafoos; daughters, Debbie, Janette, and Jennifer (David) Jamison; a step son, Mark Zickafoos; sisters, Rozette Bivens and Barbara Bradbury; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Herbert and John; a sister Kathleen Fowler; and brothers-in-law, Harry Fowler, Harold Bradbury and Glen Bivens.
James worked several years in the clothing industry leading to owning his own clothing store in Wellston and later in Circleville, Ohio. Later, he was a mail carrier for the U.S.P.S. in Circleville until his retirement. James was a member of Scioto Lodge #6 F&AM.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeremy Schinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
