Jamie Lynn Kazmierzak

Jamie Lynn Kazmierzak, aged 56, passed away on June 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family in her hometown of South Bend, Indiana. Born on May 20, 1969, Jamie was the embodiment of joy and compassion, a beacon of light to all who knew her.
Jamie is survived by her loving mother, Kathleen (Roach) Brantley of North Liberty, Indiana, and cherishes the memory of her late father, Nicky Allen Brantley. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Joseph Kazmierzak, with whom she shared a beautiful life after being joined in marriage on March 26, 1994, and her sisters, Nikki (Garth) Line of South Bend, Indiana, and Jodi (Kevin) Martin of Lakeville, Indiana.
Her legacy continues through her daughters, Amy and Jennifer Kazmierzak, of South Bend, Indiana, and her beloved grandchildren, Madison Taylor and Payton Heard. While her grandson, Austin James Johnson, predeceased her, she held him dear in her heart.
Fondly known as Miss Jamie, she was the joyous presence at Darden School, where she invested countless hours nurturing and guiding young minds. Her passion for children was unmatched, and she bestowed upon them the warmth and knowledge she naturally exuded. The halls of Darden School will echo with her laughter and the fond memories she created there.
Jamie's interests went well beyond her work. She was a lover of life and family, and she possessed a magnificent passion for spending time with the children in her life, always ensuring they felt loved and appreciated. With her gentle soul, Jamie was the cornerstone of her family, offering support and wisdom in equal measures. She could always be counted on for her humor, her love of fun, and her ability to make every moment special.
Despite her battle with cancer, Jamie faced each day with her characteristic grace and fortitude, exemplifying the strength and resilience of her loving spirit. Those who knew her witnessed the courage with which she approached life and its challenges. Cancer SUCKS!!!
