Jane Grace (Wright) Baggett, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
Jane was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 20, 1932 to the late Cecil and Pearl (McReynolds) Wright. She was a 1950 graduate of Central High School. Jane worked for Bucyrus-Erie and retired from Ivy Tech Community College in 1998 after 21 years of service. She was a faithful member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ where she was active in many outreach activities. Jane had a servants heart and volunteered her time at United Caring Shelters, St. Paul's Lutheran food bank, and as a Pink Lady at Deaconess Hospital. She was a member of the Deaconess Auxiliary and enjoyed reading, playing cards, shopping, and traveling. Above all, Jane enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Kathy Spicer; son, Michael Eakins; step-sons, Donald Baggett and Lyndell Baggett, Jr.; twin sister, Joan Kastner (Gerald); nine grandchildren, all of which were her favorite; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and by her beloved dog, Emma.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Lyndell "Ray" Baggett, Sr.; son, Gary Eakins; son-in-law, Gary Spicer; her parents; and by her brother, Robert Wright.
A celebration of Jane's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Entombment will be at Park Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 1:00 pm until service time on Monday.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Rusche and his staff, the staff at Holiday Retirement Village, and "her girls", Angie, Jenny, and Mary for their compassionate care.
