Jane Virginia Goodell age 85 of Virginia Beach, Va., passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles "Charlie" Goodell; her parents Frank and Ruth Clayton; her siblings Frank Clayton, James Clayton, and Shirley Burke.

Born in Arlington, Virginia, to Frank and Ruth Clayton, Jane grew up and later raised her family in Arlington before embarking on a life filled with love, dedication, and adventure. In 1981, she married Charles "Charlie" Goodell, the love of her life. After Charlie's retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps, they traveled together across the United States and Europe, eventually settling in Virginia Beach.

Jane will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her gentle spirit, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
