It is with great sadness we announce that Jane Anne (Kerber) Hajek, born April 23rd, 1949, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30th, 2025, at the age of 76.
Jane was a florist her entire life, making arrangements that enhanced any table, wedding, home, or special event, with silk or fresh flowers. Working from a young age and well into her 60's, always with great attention to detail making breathtaking arrangements and boutonnieres.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband John Hajek, May 3rd, 2015. Jane is survived by her four siblings: Ellen (Penzel), Randy and Russell (Kerber), and Mary (Hoffman). Her son Jason, daughter-in-law, Susan, and grandchildren: Joseph, Gabriela (Ryan), and Erin Hajek. Her daughter, Jennifer, son-in-law Tony Dye. Many nephews, nieces, and cousins. As well as the thousands of recipients of her amazing floral arrangements throughout her lifetime of work.
Both Jane and John will be interned together in Huntley, Illinois, the town where they shared their final home together and will be their final resting place.
A service for Jane will be held on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Huntley Cemetery at the Columbarium on the west side of the cemetery. 11500 Dean Street, Huntley, IL.
Luncheon will follow at noon at Jameson's Char house at 12860 Del Webb Blvd, Huntley, IL.
