Jane M. Lloyd
78, of Mooresville, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on January 5, 2025. Jane was born on December 31, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Deward Harman and Marjorie (Smith) Harman.
Jane married the love of her life, Harold Lloyd on January 30, 1966, and were married over 58 years. Education and teaching were the cornerstones of Jane’s life. She attended Decatur Central High School, earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana Central University (University of Indianapolis) and her master’s degree in education from Butler University. She taught at West Newton, Mooresville schools and retired from Monrovia school system in 2004 after 34 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, putting in goldfish ponds, antique and hot rod cars and wintering in Florida. She was also a member of the West Newton United Methodist Church
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold Lloyd; son Donnie Lloyd (Andrea); daughters Dawn Williams (Charles), Christianna Cummings (Tommy); brother Wayne Harman (Kathy); grandchildren Justin Wilde (Breyana), Tyler Wilde, Kevin Lloyd (Katelyn), Kyle Lloyd (Lexi), Dylan Johnson, Raegan Corrin, Coen Cummings, Carson Cummings; great grandchildren Mia Lloyd, Dawson Lloyd, Leon Corrin-Swanson, Halo Corrin-Jones; brother in law Bill Lloyd; sister in law Carol Ellington (Mike); 4 nieces, 3 nephews and a host of extended family and friends, who will all miss her dearly.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jane’s life on Monday, January 13th from 10am-12pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with services beginning at 12pm, officiated by Pastor Anne Gatts, in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery.
