Jane Marie McLellan

Jane Marie McLellan passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at MeSun Hospice Care Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia, following a brief illness. Jane was born June 3, 1953, the first of seven children born to Robert K. and Winnie D. McLellan of Atlanta.
Jane was raised in Atlanta and graduated from St. Pius X Catholic High School. She received a full four-year academic scholarship to St. Mary's Dominican College in New Orleans. Upon her college graduation, she moved to Yardley, PA and began instruction to join the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart. Jane was trained and worked in Yardley, PA during the school years and Buffalo, NY during the summers. Before taking her final vows, Jane decided to return to Atlanta. She continued to volunteer with the Church while working for BellSouth.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Billy Cooper and her niece Christine McLellan. She is survived by her siblings Emily Cooper, Fran Buis (Kevin), Bobby McLellan (Nancy), Jim McLellan (Becky), Joe McLellan (Tricia), Jack McLellan (Angela) and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew.
Jane's funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Peachtree Corners at 11:00 AM. The family will receive guests at 9:30 and there will be a Rosary at 10:30. Burial of her cremains will be at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, GA at a date to be determined.
Crowell Brothers will handle the arrangements.
