Mrs. Jane Ashe Peacock, age 74, of Tunnel Hill, departed this life on October 9, 2023 at Chatsworth Healthcare Center.
She was born on October 14, 1948, the daughter of the late Arnold Lee and Maggie Mae Cathey Ashe.
Jane was one of a kind. She liked to make everyone laugh. She had a big heart, quick wit, with a side of feistiness that made people fall in love with her. Jane had a passion for her family, always putting them before herself. She loved her children and grandchildren, and dedicated her life to them. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching Law & Order, and cooking. She was known for her famous chicken and dumplings and homemade biscuits. She will be dearly missed by those who love her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Etta Mae Lawson and Maggie Melissa Lawson; brothers, Lester Ashe and Jerry Ashe; and her sisters, Donna Bates and Delza Ashe
Survivors include her husband, Richard Peacock; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Brooke Peacock; grandchildren, Heather and Jimmy Pence, Maegan Lynn, and Madison Peacock; great-grandchildren, Kadence Bagley, Daylon Massengile, James Massengile, Mariah Gregory, Grayson Pence, Dixie Hamilton, and Emerie McIntosh; sister, Iva Beavers; and several nieces and nephews.
Per her request, no public services are planned at this time.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Chatsworth Healthcare Center for their many years of service and kindness to Mrs. Peacock.
