Janet K (Hawley) Abt of Ringle Wis passed away April 16, 2025, at Mount View nursing home at the age of 82.
She was born to the late Wallace and Eleanor (Marquardt) Hawley on February 4,1943.
She married Richard Abt on December 19, 1960.
Our mother was one of the kindest, most optimistic and caring persons you could ever meet. She loved spending time with her grandkids, taking them shopping and out to lunch on Saturday's. She loved having them for sleepovers. She treated everyone that entered her home like family. She loved spoiling her grandkids at Christmas! She looked forward to going to Chico's with our dad every Wednesday to spend time with their many friends.
She is survived by her four children. Lori (Andy) Buchkowski, Jim (Maxine) Abt, Rick (Rikki) Abt and Kristine (Wade) Soukup. She is also survived by siblings Dennis (Kay) Hawley, Eleanor (Phil) Halkowski and Carol Oslage, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard Abt, along with brothers: Loren Hawley, Wallace C Hawley, Donald Hawley, Roy Hawley, Neil Hawley, Jerry Hawley, her sister Arlene Feck and grandson Eric McCabe.
A private family service will be held with a celebration of life gathering at a later date.
Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is asisting the family at this time. Online condolences can be expressed at MWCS.WS.
